With over 400,000 inhabitans, Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic. It is located in Southern Moravia and surrounded by beautiful nature.

Masaryk University is the second largest and oldest university in the Czech Republic, founded in 1919. It is one of the most important teaching and research institutions with a strong position in the Central European region. It comprises 9 faculties and over 200 departments and institutes. It offers wide range of both traditional and emerging study programmes and is one of the fastest-growing higher education institutions in Europe. The university also plays a major role in the social and cultural life of the South Moravian Region.
